Deep Sea Rework
Deep Sea is an early-game Tier 2 event. (All information as of April 21st, 2026)
Overview
The new Deep Sea event is a rework of the existing vanilla Deep Sea. The notable change from vanilla is the addition of cargo events.
- There are 5 cargo events on each Deep Sea reset which happens every 1.5-2 hours after it closes.
- The cargos are similar to the vanilla ones, but include turrets and more roaming bots.
- Because Deep Sea is a Tier 2 location, you need Tier 1 endgame gear (Impact set) to survive out there.
Cobalt Patrols
Boats that are roaming around the deep sea. Usually consists of 5 bots. There are 2 types of patrol boats. Scientists have the same loot table as cargo. They are usually harmless if killed from a distance or when only one patrol is present.
Cobalt Cargo Ships
Spawn Behavior
- There are 5 cargo ships per Deep Sea, but they have the ability to respawn until there is 1 hour of Deep Sea left.
- No one is completely sure how this works right now (other than devs of reworked deep sea), and it is subject to change.
Loot
- These cargos are populated with bots, turrets, and really good loot.
- You can usually get about a stack of C4/rockets from one cargo.
- Locked crates guarantee 1 battery.
- There is a good chance to get a levi piece, like a glove, kilt, hoodie. Others are a bit more rare.
Dangers of Cargos and How to Neutralize Them
Bots
- They are trivial to deal with and relatively weak (150 HP).
- You can shoot them, explode them, or kill them by any other means that deal damage.
Recommended approach:
- Use explosions from something that can rapid-fire them, like Ashmaker.
- If you don’t have that, use M249/AR with incendiary ammo.
Turrets
- They are the most dangerous threat you're gonna face while doing cargos.
- They have the same health as their vanilla analogs (1k HP | 3 HV rockets), but deal significantly more damage: 153 HP in full HQM and 126 HP in heavy metal pants/head with rest being vanilla.
Recommended approach:
- Use splash from explosions to avoid entering shooting range.
- Use something that heals you fast, like pumpkin pies (100% HP heal).
- Always have a medkit in hotbar/Helping hands
- Be wary about turrets in the top middle, as there could be more than 1 per time
Enemy Locations
Bots
- Bots are scattered around the cargo.
- You will meet them in the left and right corridors on the bottom, and everywhere on the top.
Turrets
- Turrets are usually located:
- 1–2 at the front of the cargo
- 1–4 in corners of bottom sections
- 0–2 on the back top of the cargo
- 10~ scattered in the top middle:
- On top of metal crates
- In corridors
- At entrances to the bottom floor
Tactics for Clearing
Tactic 1: Scaredy Cat
Overview:
- Trying to be as careful as possible and take your time.
- Can be done by anyone no matter how skilled you are.
Skill requirement:
- Basic knowledge of how to heal and shoot.
Time to clear:
- Usually 25–35 min to clear a cargo if solo.
Items required:
- Anything that can shoot rockets (e.g. Ashmaker, Rocket launcher)
- AR/M249 with incendiary ammo
- 5–10 Pumpkin pies
- ~500 Berries
- Preferably Impact set
- If you don’t have one: Levi/Impact gloves, hoodie, chest, and heavy metal pants/head as it is the cheapest and most protective alternative.
- Max health teas (preferably with Prestige 2+)
- Player-built boat (3 stories tall, with protection, small peeks, roof access, and a respawn set)
- 10~ medkits or Helping hands in case you go down from a turret/bot.
Steps:
- Get the boat as far as you can, as long as you can comfortably shoot bots.
- Kill all the bots that peek you. Get as close as you can to the middle of the boat, check for turrets. If you see any, shoot them with explosives.
- Get on the cargo and check your surroundings for turrets.
- If you don't see any, move to the other section while being careful and peeking for turrets/bots. If you get hit by a turret, eat a pumpkin pie and shoot it.
- Utilize cover as much as possible, listen for sounds around you, and memorize common turret spawn locations for easier future runs.
- Repeat Step 4 until cargo is done.
Tactic 2: Speedrunner
Overview:
- Requires knowing the layout and usual spawns of turrets.
- Focused on fast clearing rather than safety
Skill requirement:
- Good knowledge of cargo layout and turret positions.
- Ability to react quickly to bots and turrets in one place (like healing or getting into cover).
Time to clear:
- Usually 10–15 min solo.
Items required:
- 2–4 Ashmakers
- 40–50 Pumpkin pies
- ~500 Berries
- 10~ Medkits or Helping hands
- Rhib (Can be bought through
/rhibwith 1k scrap) - Max health tea (preferably Prestige 8+)
- Vampiric chest, rest Impact/Levi set
Steps:
- Approach the cargo through its front.
- Get to the bottom floor door, don't shoot scientists yet, to not activate turrets.
- As soon as you get inside, start spamming Ashmakers to kill all the bots (vampiric chest and berry spam should provide enough health).
- When you are done with bots, look for turrets in the corners and clear them if they are present.
- Get out in the back of the cargo when done looting and look out for turrets, if they are present clear them from both sides.
- Get into the command room and get onto the top, be careful of 2 turrets up there.
- From the top, shoot all of the turrets on the metal crates you can see.
- Turrets should be left only in hallways and front by now, just proceed with caution and finish remaining threats.
